3 prediction markets price this story:

• Sri Lanka Tour of England ODIs: England vs Sri Lanka — resolved “England” on 27 Sept 2026. The market resolves to England if they win the scheduled ODI match, and to Sri Lanka if they win it. A tied result without a Super Over or any permanent cancellation leads to a 50-50 split. Readers often mistake the deadline for checking official statistics, which must be published within two hours of the event's conclusion.
• England — the market puts it at 8%, with $139 traded in the last 24 hours, closing 9 Aug 2027. The market resolves to Yes if England wins the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup. It resolves to No if any other team wins the tournament. Readers often mistake the current match against Spain for the decisive event, but only the final winner of the entire 2027 tournament counts.
• Will Eddie Howe be the next head coach of the England national team? — the market puts it at 25%, closing 1 Jan 2027. The market resolves to Yes if Eddie Howe is appointed as the permanent head coach of England’s men’s soccer team before December 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET. It resolves to No if another person takes that specific permanent role by the deadline. Readers often mistake the linked cricket story for relevant information or assume interim appointments count toward the resolution.
