Privacy

Reading NewsMarkets needs no account. Here is everything we keep, and how to remove it.

Reading

We measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, and Google Analytics where it is switched on. Pages whose address carries a private link (confirming or managing email, opening your calls on another device) load no analytics at all.

Topics you follow

Kept in your own browser only. We never receive the list; your browser fetches the public stories for those topics itself. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Your calls on markets

Making a call creates a forecaster with a generated name (like "Forecaster 48213") and a cookie that keeps you signed in on this browser. We store your calls and that name; the cookie itself is stored only as a one-way hash. No email is needed. If you ask for a link to open your calls on another device, we email it and do not keep the address. Delete your calls at any time from your calls page.

Email

If you ask for the morning briefing or an alert, we store your address, what you asked for, and when you confirmed. Nothing is sent until you confirm from your inbox, and an address never confirmed is deleted within a week. Every email has a link to manage or delete your address and a one-click unsubscribe. Email is delivered by Resend, which processes addresses only to deliver our messages.

Abuse limits

To stop spam and automated abuse, we count requests per connection using a hash of the connection's address mixed with the date. The address itself is never stored, and counts are deleted after two days.

What we never do

We don't sell or share your information, show your email to anyone, or use it for anything you didn't ask for.
