The crowd vs. the market
Readers call markets on story pages. This is where their calls, taken together, disagree with the odds, and how the two sides have done on markets that have since resolved. A market needs at least 3 calls to appear.
Where the crowd disagrees
The crowd's pick is at least 20 points more (or less) popular with readers than the market prices it.
No disagreement right now: no open market has 3 calls yet.
Who has been right
No market with 3 or more calls has resolved yet.
How this is counted
Each call is a reader's pick of one outcome, recorded with that outcome's price at the time. The crowd's pick on a market is its most-picked outcome. On resolved markets a call is right when its outcome won; the market counts as right when the outcome it priced above a half at the time of the call won, which is exact for two-outcome markets and approximate for others. Readers choose which markets to call, so this is not a random sample of markets.
