3 prediction markets price this story:

• Will Trump acquire Greenland before 2027? — the market puts it at 3%, with $2k traded in the last 24 hours, closing 1 Jan 2027. The Yes outcome requires an official announcement by the United States and Denmark that Greenland transfers to US sovereignty before December 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET. This transfer must involve the majority of Greenland's territory coming under formal US governance or jurisdiction.
• Before January 20, 2029 — the market puts it at 15%, with $653 traded in the last 24 hours, closing 20 Jan 2029. The market resolves to Yes if the United States buys any portion of Greenland from Denmark before January 20, 2029. It resolves to No if that purchase does not happen by the deadline. Readers often mistake a security agreement for an actual land sale.
• Before January 21, 2029 — the market puts it at 20%, with $752 traded in the last 24 hours, closing 21 Jan 2029. The market resolves to Yes if the United States acquires any part of Greenland before January 21, 2029. It resolves to No if that event does not happen by the deadline. Readers often mistake the signing of a security deal for an acquisition, but only actual ownership counts.
